Nathalie Seguin
Born in 1964, in Angers daughter of a Parisian painter, creative, manual, Nathalie SEGUIN has always liked to transform the material: silk, rattan, wood, fabrics. But it is in the shaping, the work of the land that she found to express herself with the most sincerity. With enthusiasm, she transforms an inert material into vital energy. Very inspired by Art Nouveau, she quickly moved towards a sculpture that was both figurative and dreamlike, based on movement, placing her subjects at the limit of their point of balance. His style is easily recognizable by its drapes as if inflated by an invisible wind, to convey the power and elegance of a dance punctuated by inaudible music. She likes to work with the oppositions of textures (rough, smooth), shapes (tense, curved), patina colors, in order to sharpen the sense of sight but also of touch. Nathalie Seguin’s bronze sculptures refer to the manifestation of a deep feminine energy, to a sincere desire to share an emotion with the viewer. Awarded many times in different salons (Saint Maur des Fossés, Joinville le Pont, Maison Alfort, Alfortville, Saint Maurice, Saint Germain en Laye, Le Vésinet …), she exhibits permanently in France and internationally and her works have taken up residence all over the world.
